The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

After receiving a BS in CS from Penn State in 1978, I programmed for what is now UPMC and later worked for Union Switch and Signal and Mesta Machine Company doing process control of railroad yards and general process control for the steel industry. In 1981 I received an MS in CS from the University of Pittsburgh. I spent 3 1/2 years working at the research division of Gulf Oil Corporation and another 3 1/2 years at Digital Equipment Corporation before coming back to the University of Pittsburgh for the past 22+ years where I currently am with the technical staff of the Computer Science Department. I also have taught undergraduate data structures classes for the department. Along the way I married the world's greatest folk dancer, storyteller and Children's librarian. In 2001 we traveled to the People's Republic of China and adopted our daughter. We've all been involved in the folk arts and enjoy Bulgarian dancing and producing folk music festivals here in Pittsburgh, PA (the country's most livable city!)
